SCS New Second Grade Teacher, Kristen McQuade

Tell us about yourself, and your journey to SCS?

It’s nice to meet you, I am Kristen McQuade. It is my first year as the second grade teacher at Sussex Christian School. I absolutely love to learn and am so excited to begin my journey with Sussex Christian School this year. I am a graduate of Centenary College. I have taught second grade at Franklin Borough School, fourth grade at Ringwood Christian School, and fifth grade at an elementary school in Jefferson Township.

What is you favorite part about teaching?

My favorite part about teaching is building relationships with the students and helping them pursue their relationship with God. It is so exciting to watch the students grow over the course of the school year and make fun memories while learning along the way.

What else would you like to share?

I have been married to my wonderful husband for one whole year. In our free time, we love to head outdoors and adventure through God’s creation and spend time with our families. Sports are a passion of mine, especially soccer.  I cannot wait for an awesome school year!
