WHAT IS TRIP?
TRIP is offered to promote the education of students at Sussex Christian School. It is a
way for you to reduce your tuition bill every time you buy food, clothing, and other items
by making your purchases at stores that are in this program. You don't have to buy
anything extra, you don't have to pay a penny more, and you can make your purchases
whenever you like. There is no minimum amount you have to buy. You will be paying for
your purchases with gift certificates instead of cash, check, or credit cards.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Read through this information and then complete the Registration Form. This form needs
to be returned to the school marked "TRIP". You will be assigned a TRIP account number.
This number is very important as it will be used to keep track of your credits. You should
receive a phone call with your TRIP number and then you can begin placing orders.
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
Each week we publish a Cash 'n Carry Order form in the Home Announcements. There is
also a link to this from from this web page. In addition, we publish a monthly Special
Orders Form for all other stores from which you can purchase cards. Indicate on the
form(s) which stores you wish to purchase from and the denomination you would like to
have the gift certificates in. Enclose your check or cash for the full amount you wish to
purchase. During the school year, orders are processed on Monday mornings. Your child
can bring the order to school or you can stop in and drop it off to the office. All orders
must be received by 9:15 am on Mondays in order to ensure processing that week.
Orders received after that time may need to wait until the following week.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATES?
Your filled order from the Cash 'n Carry form will be available for pickup at the school
office on Monday afternoons. Orders can also be sent home with your child if you so
designate. Cards ordered from the Special Order Forms will be available on or before
Monday of the following week. Please be sure to clearly indicate pickup instructions on
your order. These cards are just like cash. SCS cannot accept responsibilty for lost or
misplaced gift certificates.
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY CREDIT?
The Special Orders Form indicates the percentage of your purchase that will be credited
to your TRIP account each time you place an order. These credits will accumulate, and
twice a year your tuition bill will be directly reduced by the credits. The January tuition
bill will be reduced by credits applied by the end of December, and the May tuition bill will
be reduced by credits applied by the end of April. You will receive a Tuition Earnings
Statement listing your weekly purchase amounts prior to the credit dates.
CAN I ORDER FOR OTHER PEOPLE?
DEFINITELY!! This is a great way to increase your credit amount. Ask relatives and
friends to consider shopping with gift certificates. Enclose their check in your order
envelope. We can only process ONE envelope per TRIP number, but in that envelope you
can have as many checks as you want.
MY CHILDREN ARE NOT IN SCHOOL YET, BUT I'D LIKE TO START TRIP NOW!
No problem! On the registration form, indicate that you are a FUTURE FAMILY. Your
credits will continue to accumulate year after year. Once your child is in school, inform
TRIP that you would like your credits applied.
CAN OUR CREDITS BE APPLIED TO ANOTHER FAMILY?
Absolutely! On the registration form, fill in the appropriate box as to where you want your
credits applied.
