Sussex Christian School

Sussex Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

All parents who have committed their lives to Christ, who actively participate in a Bible believing church, and who desire to respond to God in loving obedience when He says to, "Train up a child in the way he should go..." (Proverbs 22:6), are invited to send their children to Sussex Christian School.

Parents are encouraged to contact the school office for an Application for Admission. They should complete the forms enclosed, and forward them back to the school. A Pastor's Recommendation form will be included with the application. This needs to be completed by the family's pastor and sent back to the school as well. Once all the information is received, an informal interview with the Admissions Committee is conducted to become acquainted, answer any questions, and discuss tuition.

As standard procedure for incoming Kindergarten students, a developmental readiness test is administered. The test results assist the teacher in assessing the student's ability to function in a classroom situation. This test, called the Gesell, takes place in the Spring. For those students entering grades 1-8, it is essential that parents submit a copy of the most recent report card and achievement test results from the prior school year.
